In 2014 the UMMC investment in the development of Gaisky GOK will exceed 3 billion rubles ( 100 million dollars)

UMMC tends to invest about 3.1 billion rubles in the development of " Gai GOK" (UMMC enterprise resource complex) in 2014. The main funding will be transited for the expansion of the underground mine in company, the modernization and expansion of the concentrator plant.

Investment in the development of deep horizons of Gaisky GOK underground mine amounted 1.2 billion rubles (40 million $). According to the plan in 2014 the  underground mine ore will produce 200 thousand tons more than in the plan of the last year , i.e., 5.8 million tons of ore. Currently, the underground mine is actively leading mining and capital works , the reconstruction of mine shafts , purchasing of the mining equipment. Overall, taking into account the opencast plant, it is planned to produce 8.26 million tons of ore.

UMMC to invest over 558 million rubles in the expansion and modernization of Gaisky GOK concentrator plant. Moreover , most of these funds will be on the final , third stage of construction of the Ore-preparation SAG housing complex, for the modernization of the main building of the factory , and in particular, for the modernization of flotation separation .

In the future , the implementation of the strategic development of " Gai GOK" will bring the performance of the underground mine plant from 5.8 to 6.5 million tons of ore and beneficiation plant of 9.0 million tonnes of ore processed per year.
